New edeptive™ powered website will help leading mortgage adviser achieve ambitious growth plans

Edeptive Limited, the Internet Applications Framework company,  is pleased to add leading mortgage adviser London & Country (L&C) to the growing list of organisations who rely on edeptive™ to power their websites.   Award winning L&C expect the new sites to allow them to take full advantage of the Internet’s power to attract new customers and believe it will be an increasingly important part of their marketing mix.

L&C chose edeptive™ primarily because of its ability to support their expanding affiliate programme.  To do this effectively, L&C need a quick and easy way of creating sites - for both white label and co-brand partners – that are derived from the same content but have different logos, some textual modifications and different site structures.  edeptive™ supports this requirement with a single system that manages and controls the publication of content, from many applications, to multiple channels.

“Edeptive will make it much easier for us to manage content for our partners and allow us to increase substantially the potential number of partners we can work with.” – Jane Harrison, L&C Marketing Director

L&C also value their internal marketing staff being able to enhance a site’s content – as well as being able to change the site’s look and feel - without having to rely on the original website developer.  The ability to create new sites for specific markets is also important, given L&C’s ambitious growth plans into new mortgage advice markets, such as the adverse credit (or sub-prime) market.

L&C’s senior management were keen to start seeing a return on their investment in edeptive™ and chose a support package from Edeptive to facilitate a quick implementation.  This goal was achieved, with the new site being implemented in record time; a substantial achievement, given the complexities of the financial advice industry where every word on every webpage has to be scrutinised for compliance with FSA standards.

Starting in mid December 2004, and working closely with L&C marketing staff, Edeptive’s creative team redesigned the look and feel of the main L&C site by early January 2005.  The design objectives included: improving the visual impact of the site; making navigation easier; search engine optimisation.

Based on the agreed site design, the Edeptive implementation team developed the templates and style definitions which are used to ensure consistent branding and presentation, built a small number of additional application modules (for such applications as mortgage calculators), trained L&C staff and then supported them during the content loading phase.  L&C cut the ribbon on the new site in early March 2005 and have, amongst other major benefits, seen their Google profile improve dramatically.

In parallel with the main implementation project, Edeptive also worked with Footdown, the Bath based group mentoring company (www.footdown.com), to design a new landing page for the new L&C site.

L&C’s current plans for extending their use of edeptive™ include: developing a number of additional market specific sites; increasing the number of white label and co-brand sites; adding more landing pages; enhancing the content of the main site.  They expect to be largely self-sufficient in their use of edeptive™.  This includes developing their own templates; a process they believe is largely intuitive.

“L&C continues to be the experts’ choice for free mortgage advice.  We have earned this endorsement through a combination of extensive industry knowledge and outstanding commitment to our customers.  With our new edeptive™ website in place, and the flexibility this gives us to enhance it independently, we will be (much?) better able to promote our brand ideals of fairness and choice into the sub prime market.” – Phillip Cartwright, L&C Managing Director

“We are very excited about working with L&C. With edeptiveL&C will be able to manage their Internet communications without the need for any special technical expertise and to respond rapidly to new market opportunities and legislative changes.”– Andrew Bailey, Edeptive Managing Director
